Marcus Jordan was an all around outstanding athlete for the new era, Stivers School For The Arts, earning 10 varsity letters in soccer, swimming, basketball, and track.
He was named Stivers Athlete of the year his senior year.
He played soccer all 4 years and was team captain 3 of those seasons.
Marcus was named team defensive player of the year in 2008 and earned Second Team All-League honors in 2006.
Marcus’s strongest sport was track where he earned numerous awards:

- 800 M – 3rd place @ Southwest Regional
- 800 M – 9th place @ OHSAA State Championship
- 800 M – 2nd place @ Dayton City League
- 1600 M Relay – 2nd place @ Southwest District

A major hamstring injury hampered his senior track season. He was honored to serve as captain of the track team in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Marcus earned one varsity letter in basketball and served as team captain in 2010. Apparently Marcus’ coaches had great respect for him as he earned the Coaches Awards in track in 2008, in swimming in 2009, and in basketball in 2010.
After graduating from Stivers, Marcus went on to earn his Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
He has worked in industry for the Fed Ex Ground Headquarters, UTC Aerospace Mfg. in Troy, Ohio, and currently works for the Federal Government in Maryland as an Industrial and Systems Engineer.
He is also continuing his education towards a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering with a focus in Cyber Security.
