After an outstanding junior high career, Brooklyn began his high school career on the Tiger varsity basketball team as a freshman. He made an immediate contribution to the program, and the 2007-2008 team was Division III District Runner-up.
Brooklyn was a varsity letterman, for four years, and despite missing almost half of his sophomore season because of a foot injury, he still finished his Stivers basketball career as one of the Tigers all time leading scorers.
He was selected captain of the team and MVP both his junior and senior years. Brooklyn was the second leading scorer in the City of Dayton his junior year and named to the All-City First Team. He was the city’s leading scorer his senior year and named again to the All-City First Team.
He was named to the Division III All-Area First Team by the Dayton Daily News his senior year with a 17.3 point per game scoring average and was District 15 “Player of The Year.” Brooklyn received All Southwest Ohio Honorable Mention Honors that senior season. After graduating from Stivers, Brooklyn walked on the Wright State basketball team, but his career was cut short with another foot injury.
Brooklyn credits his father and high school coach, Eric Bradley, for his development. (Eric was a 2016 Wilbur Wright Hall of Fame Inductee.) Currently Brooklyn is pursuing a Business Degree in Supply Chain Management at Wright State University and working as a student intern at Johnson Electric. He has two daughters; Cassie is five and Beni is two years old.
