Don Lange 1947

Don earned two varsity letters in football. In 1947 he was Honorable Mention All-City End and voted Most Valuable Player by his team. In basketball he earned three letters and was captain of the 1947 City Championship Team. He also earned three letters in baseball and in 1947 made the All-City Team.
Don attended Ohio State University, the University of Dayton and the University of Kentucky Graduate School. He graduated from Mayo Physical Therapy, Class of 1953.

Kentucky Governor Chandler appointed him to the first State Board of Physical Therapy. Don has influenced countless therapists and patients in Kentucky with his efforts and actions. On May 19, 2006, the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association announced that a new and distinguished award would be given to a deserving physical therapists: the award was named, “The Don Lange Award”.

Don married Wilma Lou Hollinsworth, Stivers class of 1946, and they have three daughters: Nancy, Kathy and Susan.
