Bob earned 10 Varsity “S” letters. He played End Position in Football during his Sophomore and Junior years and received 2 letters. Bob played Outfield position in Baseball during his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years and earned 3 letters. Bob also received three letters in Basketball in his Sophomore, Junior and Senior years.
The Class of 1951 was the last class to win the City and District in Basketball. Bob ran Cross Country in his Senior year and placed 1st in the City, 2nd in the District and 11th in the State. In Track, his Senior year he ran the mile and was 1st in the City, 1st in the District and 3rd in the State, with a time of four minutes and seventeen seconds.
Bob attended Miami University at Oxford, OH and was the third man on the Varsity Cross Country his Freshman year. He left college for the U.S. Navy.
Bob now lives in Sun City Center, FL. He is widowed and is retired.
