“KICK” Ramby earned 11 letters playing basketball, football and baseball for the Tigers. As a freshman, he played on the Stivers State Champion baseball team. In 1923 and 1924 he played end on the National Champion football team, and in 1924, “Kick” was a star forward on the State Champion basketball team. He and his teammate “Hawk” English were life long friends.
Seymour attended Purdue and played football, baseball and basketball. He was an S.A.E. swimming Champion and Collegiate/R.O.T.C. boxing Champ in 1926 and 1927. He lettered three years in baseball, but his football career was cut short due to a knee injury.
After graduating from Purdue in 1929, “Kick” attended the U. of Cincinnati and U. of Dayton Law Schools. He was admitted to practice law in Ohio and Federal Court in 1933 and practiced until 1978.
Seymour married his wife Margaret in 1927, and they had two children; Craig and Susan.
Ramby was an all-star baseball player in area leagues and later served on the Dayton Amatuer Baseball Commission.
As a Captain in WWII, he was awarded the Bronze Star for Meritorius service.
Seymour passed away July 2, 1980.
