Nathan Davis distinguished himself as an outstanding two sport athlete at Stivers School for the Arts. He earned 8 letters, 4 in basketball and 4 in track. Nate was the basketball team captain in both his junior and senior years while attaining 1st team All-City and District 15 team recognition as a senior. Nate excelled in track and was the Ohio State High Jump Champion in Division II with a high jump of 6 feet, 7 inches. Nate was extremely happy to bring a state championship trophy to Stivers School for the Arts.
Nate accepted a scholarship to Heidelberg University following high school, and while there he won numerous awards in basketball and track. He was an NCAA All-American in track in 2010-2011 and named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. This spring, Nate jumpedĀ 7 feet to become only the fth athlete in Heidelberg history to win a national track title. He excelled in basketball and was named to the All-Ohio Conference team. Nate was also recognized by ESPN Sport Center for executing one of the top 5 plays of the year.
Nate will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 2013 and hopes to gain experience and a career in broadcasting and music. Nate has been a volunteer in hisĀ community and church by being involved with the YMCA and church fund raising and vacation Bible school. His mother, Janet Davis, is the Human Resources Generalist for Five Rivers Metro Parks and his father, Ralph Davis, Sr. is a Martial Arts Specialist. Nate also has an older brother, Ralph Jr. and a sister, Morgan.
